Windows 10: Can I transfer the activation that I have bought in the store to another account ?

I have bought windows 11 pro in the Microsoft store with an account that I no longer need and I want to transfer my purchase to another account because I want to delete the old one. Can I transfer the key from the old account and stick it to the new one?

According to you, the accounts were Windows built-in admin, a local admin and standard user. None of them needs to be moved.

The built-in admin account, as the name says, will be there when you boot the laptop first time. It is disabled by default, you just need to enable it. For two other accounts, simply create same accounts on laptop.

Attach the HDD to laptop using an external USB enclosure, copy contents of data folders to respective folders on laptop.

You mentioned that the desktop accounts were / are local accounts, not Microsoft accounts. See the options to get Pro here:

If you can still access Windows on desktop, boot it up, make it a Microsoft account and link license to that MS account. Tutorials:

Transferring Windows 10 to New PC Activation

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
