Basically I replaced my motherboard with a new one, new CPU and RAM. Now when I try to log in, it says my PIN needs to be changed and I need to recive a verification that is sent to my email. However there is no verification code, I've checked Junk, ect. Short of reinstalling windows from a USB, can I unlink my device which on my account page still says the old motherboard, log into windows and activated it there? Would that work and I would'nt lose any data on my pc if I do that?

    :)

  2. Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

    Uninstalled ondedrive before unlinking it

If you have uninstalled OneDrive before unlinking it from your account, you might encounter some issues. Uninstalling the OneDrive application from your computer does not necessarily unlink your account or remove the cloud-synced files from your online storage.

Here's what you can do to resolve the situation:

    1. Reinstall OneDrive: To properly unlink OneDrive from your account, you might need to reinstall the OneDrive application on your computer. After reinstalling, you can follow the steps to properly unlink your account.
    2. Access Online Account: You should be able to access your OneDrive account online through a web browser. Log in to your OneDrive account using a web browser and then unlink the account from there. Look for settings or account options that allow you to manage linked devices or applications.
    3. Contact Support: If you encounter difficulties in unlinking your account after reinstalling or accessing it online, consider reaching out to Microsoft OneDrive support. They should be able to guide you through the process and assist with any account-related issues.
Remember that the exact steps and options available might vary depending on the version of OneDrive you were using and the specific circumstances. It's always a good idea to refer to official documentation or contact support for accurate and up-to-date guidance.

    How to unlink devices?

I had a live chat session with MS Customer Care, and I had to insert various times my MS account password.
So, for safety, I changed my password, but on my Windows Phone is still linked with old password. Even email still works on phone *Huh

    Any way to unlink devices?
