Windows 10: Can I upgrade from V21H2 to V22H2 without having to completely reinstall Win 11?

I am running Win 11 X64 installed in Jan. of 2022. When I check for updates, it says I am up to date. I never saw a message saying 22H2 was available. MS stopped supporting 21H2 on Oct. 10th.

Windows 11 update fail.

It appears you have Windows 11 v21H2 installed, whereas the latest version is v22H2. You can check your OS build number by running winver.exe. Please post the info here.

If it says 21H2, follow the method below to do an in-place upgrade to 22H2. The two updates (mentioned in the original post) need not be installed in that case.

Yes, please try performing an In-place upgrade as this will update your current Windows version 21H2 to 22H2. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

Few things to check on the PC

**Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting

**Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
