Windows 10: Can I upgrade my computer to 64 bit? (Urgent)

So, I recently discovered Overwatch at a friend's house, and I really want to get it on my PC. However, my Windows 10 system info app says I have a 32 bit processor, but the new Windows 10 settings says I have a 64 bit. Overwatch requires a 64 bit version of Windows to run, and mine is 32 bit. Can I upgrade, or can I not upgrade? That is the question. I provided some handy dandy screenshots for you guys to see. This is urgent, because my friends are making a big deal about this. Windows 10 computer Factory reset stuck at 64%

My computer is stuck at the factory reset page at 64% and it wouldnt move for a long time already. Is my computer lost forever? I tried force manually restarting through pressing the off button but the process of restarting just keeps continuing and
the comp just keeps showing 64% before it proceeds to restart again. I cant do anything. Help please need my computer urgently

 

How can I uprade my Lumia 535 from windows 8.1 to windows 10.

I use a Lumia 535 and I downloaded some Applications which required windows 10.

Please I need an urgent solution to that.

You can "upgrade" to 64-bit. However, to "upgrade" you must do a clean install of 64-bit Windows.

 

So what's the best way to do that?

 

Create a Windows 10 USB flash drive:

Make sure to select either the both (32-bit and 64-bit) or 64-bit option. Then do a clean install:

I feel that I have to post this before you wipe your current 32 bit Windows installation: please make a backup first to be able to restore it in case your device can't run 64 bit Windows!

The reason I am saying this is that I have a device like yours, I mean a device that Settings > System > About reports as 64 bit device but like yours, MSINFO32 tells the truth, my tablet being x86 based and therefore only capable of running 32 bit Windows.









In my case, this device cannot even boot from 64 bit Windows install media and it is totally not capable of running 64 bit Windows.

 

According to the bios information, the OP has an Intel DG45ID desktop motherboard which supports 64-bit Windows. But it is still a good idea to keep a backup when doing any kind of upgrade/re-install.

 

And you need to add more memory, if possible. At least 8GB if the PC supports that amount.

 

So I should put a 32 AND 64 bit ISO on my USB so I can pick and choose if all else goes wrong? Also, I'm not a computer genius and I don't know how to add RAM.

 

I would do both the 32-bit and 64-bit on the USB flash drive so if 64-bit fails for some reason, you have the 32-bit to fall back on.

 

Actually, it is a bit more subtle than that. The Atom CPUs are actually 64bit capable, but the tablet firmware is hard set to only boot in 32bit UEFI mode. The reason for this is simply that 32 bit installs use less disk space even in in CompactOS mode.

Users have (allegedly) managed to do fancy reflashing of firmware with custom bootloaders to make such devices 64bit capable. This is far beyond abilities of most mortals.

 

Before going any further, what is your video card? This may be all a waste of time, because it is possible the computer isn't going to play this game regardless of the platform.
