Windows 10: Can I Upgrade to Win11 with a Local Account if I'm Only Using a Local Account on Win10 at...

My laptop was purchased with Windows 11 and downgraded to Windows 10 after a huge problem with OneDrive. The computer repair person who cleaned up my computer installed Windows 10 with a Local Account and now that I've been back to that experience I do not want Windows 11 unless I can keep a Local Account and have zero interface with OneDrive.Is this possible? And can someone provide me with the links to do so?

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Creating a local account in Win10 pro

How do I create a local account in Win10 Pro? I've created local accounts on my laptop with Win10 Home by

• Select ' Accounts'> 'Family & other users'.
• 'Add someone else to this PC'
  
  and then going through the account creation process, however my Win10 Pro doesn't have the option for Accounts'> 'Family & other users'. and I can't find a way of creating the account.
