Windows 10: Can i upgrade to windows 11 with all the system requirements except for the CPU?

Hello, so i am planning on getting a new PC in a couple of months, and i want to prepare by installing windows 11 even tho i have an old device to install the program, so i used “PC Health Check” to see if my computer is compatible to installing windows 11 and it all came positive except my cpu which is intel core i7 - 7500U 2.70GHz which is probably not supported, but i want to ask the question, if i have all requirements to upgrade to windows 11 from windows 10 except for the CPU and if i will get the windows 11 installation assistant to install windows 11 on my PC/LaptopEven tho the CPU is

Hi, Robert. I'm sorry to know you're getting this issue.
Operative system are evolving on every edition and required new hardware capabilities. Some old cpu are so powerful but lacks of those features.

This is the reason why a cpu is not listed as Windows compatibility list.

Anyway, you can install Windows 11 on your computer by creating the following Regedit record:

Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup

Name: AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU

Type: REG_DWORD

Value: 1

After this process, restart your computer and upgrade to Windows 11.

Window 11 CPU Requirements

Hi. Are you going to be expanding the list of approved CPUs for Windows 11 please? I have seen the list at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...pported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors but this doesn't include my CPU (i5-7200U). However, my CPU more than meets the speed and core requirements (2x2.5GHz) and is more capable than many of the CPUs on your list (e.g. Celeron 6305 at 2x1.8GHz). Thanks

 

Clarification about Windows 11 system requirements

Most computers that run Windows 10 can run Windows 11.

Upgrades can be performed in a supported or unsupported fashion.

There are multiple threads on upgrading in an unsupported fashion and if interested the methods or links can be posted.

This included unsupported CPU, TPM, BIOS, Drive, etc.

I5-4590 was not seen on the Windows 11 CPU support lists.
