Windows 10: Can I use a gift card credit to sub to the the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate $1 promo?

If so, which one? I'm going to try with the Walmart ones, but not sure if I should use the Microsoft Gift Card or the Xbox Gift Card...

Yes, you can, as long it's known as an XBOX Play Anywhere game (PC and XBOX). When you have a Game Pass on the same account, you can play games on both your PC and your XBOX given it meets that stipulation. Any and all lingering questions might be answered
