    Can I use LifeCam VX-1000 on Windows 10?


    My old LifeCam VX-1000 is not recognized on Windows 10 version 1909. I found a web page that claims "For Windows 8 and later, additional software is not required". This is a lie.


    I also found instructions on answers.microsoft.com for installing a driver in compatibility mode, but it doesn't work here - as soon as I execute the downloaded file, I am told that "LifeCam can't run on Windows". Even after setting the exe file to run in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

    I know this is not the newest product, but it's from Microsoft. Is there a way to run it on contemporary Windows 10?

    I need a webcam for online classes. I have a LifeCam VX-1000 but cannot find a driver suitable for windows 10. Suggestions?

    Windows 10 driver for LifeCam VX-1000

    I believe the LifeCam VX-1000 is not compatible at all with Windows 10. I had to scrap my LifeCam when I moved to Windows 10.
