So I have a windows 10 gaming laptop that I upgraded for free to windows 11. I am going to build a pc and I was wondering if I could use my windows product key from my laptop for my pc. I am going to factory reset it because I am going to sell it to a friend so I'm not Shure if I will still be able to use the product key after that.

Usually the manufacturer provides the product key for OEM customers, behind the laptop mentioned on the sticker.



I suggest you to perform a factory reset. By doing this your operating system will go back to Windows 7.



Note: By doing a factory reset, will delete/uninstall all the applications and will erase all the data. Hence make sure you backup all your data prior to performing a factory reset.
