    Can I use Power Toys to CHANGE the function of a key, NOT REMAP to it?


    I'm running Windows 11 Pro and have Power Toys. I want to CHANGE the function of a key, NOT REMAP to it. If I remap to it, the mapped key will become "orphaned" and not work. Is this possible with Power Toys or will I have to use a different app.?

    How to change function to quick acces key?

    Hi,

    you should be able to change it via power toys.

    Open the power toys settings and go to "Keyboard Manager". If it is disabled, enable it.

    Click on "Remap key".

    Click the + symbol to add a change.

    On the left, click "Input" and press the key you would like to remap (Either FN+F7, or just F7 if you want to remap the key itself.) Then click OK.

    On the right, select "Play/Pause media".

    Click "Ok".

    (Freely translated, exact wording may be different.)
