  1. Can I view events for moved folders/files?

I am trying to simply see if I am able to view any events in the event manager that say files or folders have been moved. I am trying to locate a folder I moved from my computer to an external drive. When I did this, it acted like it moved it but it will not show up in the drive. It has also not shown up on my computer. Because of this, I would like to see if I can look in the event viewer and see events that say that a folder or files has been moved. Any help is much appreciated, this is a very important folder. Thank you

    :)

  2. Files & Folders View as medium or large Icons

To assist you better, we would suggest that you try to follow the steps below:

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Once you are viewing a folder, right click an empty space within the File Explorer window and select View from the dialogue menu, then choose Large or any icon you wanted to use. Alternatively, you can use the following shortcut keys on the keyboard to
      change your View settings:
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 1 Extra Large
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 2 Large icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 3 Medium Icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 4 Small Icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 5 List
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 6 Details
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 7 Tiles
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 8 Content
    3. Once you have the view set, you can make it the default view for

    every folder.

    4. Click Apply, then click OK.

    Update us on the result.

  3. Files remain in original folder after moving them to new folder in file explorer

    Hi,

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the File Explorer may be caused by some configuration or files mismatched. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you reset the folder settings from the
Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

    • Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
      Enter
      .
    • On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
    • Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
      Yes to confirm.
    • Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.

Let us know if the suggestion works for you.
