Windows 10: Can Malware spread through Windows Sync?

Hello!I had a malware infection and made a clean install of my system. But I am still a little bit paranoid and wanted to know if malware could spread through the Microsoft sync options Not OneDrive in general, but the synchronization options in the account settings. Also how likely would it be for OneDrive to contain malware as well after an infection?Thank you very much in advance for the answers!

I'm sorry to hear that you inadvertently brought spy/malware software from your computer onto your family's network. If you know the name of the malware or virus, you can either identify the type or let us know. Currently, there are only worms that can spontaneously spread on the network, while some other viruses or malware require a specific way of spreading, such as clicking on some unknown links or downloading unknown software through other devices.

Will Malware Sync With OneDrive?

Let's say that the files in my local OneDrive folder become infected by malware. Will the malware spread to OneDrive online? Because of automatic file syncing.

(The OneDrive forum says it's been locked.)
