Windows 10: Can my company track employees notebooks?

Hi!!


Would my company be able to locate employee laptops? Is this possible through some tracker software or through windows itself?

Being an employee, would it be possible to disable the possibility of the company having the employee's geographic location?

Cortana Notebook

In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Cortana.
• Go to Settings.
• Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.

Stolen Notebook with tracking activated

Hello,

unfortunately my Win10 notebook was stolen from my car two weeks ago. I had the tracking activated, but the last position is my home.

I cannot believe the notebook is not switched on since this time. Is it possible that the tracking is broken when someone installs a new windows? Is there any chance afterwards?

Is it possible to find it when it is activated because it's the same hardware checksum? When yes, where can I ask for it?

Search by Company

I need to be able to search my contacts by company instead of just by name. in windmo 6.5, it was "view by company" but in windows phone 7 it isn't there.

With over 200 mobile phones deployed across multiple states and no way to have employees search their customer list by the name of the account, then I'm going to have to find another solution other than winmo7.
