Windows 10: can my gpu support Directx12 Ultimate?

I've never had any issues with my drivers until I installed and launched Marvel Rivals only to get the error message: "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument."I searched for about 5 hours for any solution, and this is my first time checking like anything with my computer so please bare with me, sorry!I have an HP Zbook 15 G3 with two GPUs:1. an IntelR HD Graphics530 2. an NVIDIA Quadro M1000MI ran a dxdiag to check if my system supports DirectX12, which it says it does have it. Does i5-12500h support Directx12 ultimate ?

DirectX 12 Ultimate needs a supported GPU, any modern CPU will work.

Please check if you have a supported GPU. All Nvidia RTX GPUs are supported as well AMDs RX 6000 and above.

 

What does DirectX12 Ultimate mean for projects made with DirectX12 API?

Hello to the person who is reading this, I hope you are safe and sound and that everything is okay due to the current events.

I have recently read about DirectX12 Ultimate being announced :

Now, after reading the article I got really hyped up, so I searched around for more information around the
DirectX Dev Blog and saw this article:

I was confused at first after reading it because I as a person who likes to experiment with new technology saw a link to the samples of the new API, but the link (GitHub - microsoft/DirectX-Graphics-Samples: This repo contains the DirectX Graphics samples that demonstrate how to build graphics intensive applications on Windows.)
reached into a GitHub master branch which I already knew since way before DirectX12 Ultimate got announced.

So I'm pretty confused right now since basically, I thought that the announcement of DirectX12 Ultimate would mean changing already existing DirectX12 code. So, what does DirectX12 Ultimate API actually change for the programmer side? Does it only signify
that a computer/graphics card is able of using the newest features (i.e: ray-tracing)?

(Also I'm not sure in which category this belongs to, so I posted this in the "Gaming on Windows 10" one since it seems as the most logical choice.)

DirectX 12 Ultimate

DirectX 12 Ultimate features will work only if you have a GPU which supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. Please check your GPU manufacturer(Intel, AMD, Nvidia) website for the list of supported GPUs and the driver updates to enable the features.
