Windows 10: Can my request to change authentication number be fixed today?

At the start of the month I have put in the request to change my number only Microsoft account as my previous number was disconnected for personal reasons. I have put in the request to change the number however its stating the request will take until the 03/09/23. This would usually be fine however I have just started studying and need to access the function to change my password due to not remembering what it is. As the 2 factor authentication is enabled, I cannot do this yet. Can someone please help me with this ?

Microsoft Authenticator will not automatically detect the sign in request starting today......

It worked all the time before up until today when I try to sign into my outlook.com and there is no two step authenticator sign in request received on my iphone. But if I go into the Microsoft Authenticator app itself and click check for notifications,
I then receive the sign in request. But what I want is the old behavior where the notification will show up automatically. (I did not turn off Microsoft Authenticator notification, the notification in the iphone setting app are all enabled.)

 

Authenticator App - Automatic Request Timeout

I'm using Authenticator app for 2FA and up till now worked fine - I would get a request in the app to confirm the number displayed in browser and then confirm with my fingerprint. However recently everytime a request is triggered, the number flashes for
second and then automatically fails to "Request Timeout" message. I still get the request in the app but its too late by then.

To log in I have to re-enter my password and then enter the One-time password code in the app.

I tried the following:

• removing the accounts from the app,
• removing the app and re-installing it and re-adding the account
• disabling and then re-enabling MFA in security settings in my account

 

Authenticator App not showing any numbers

For two step authentication to log into Microsoft account, the terminal display says tap the number 12 in the authenticator app. I go to that app on my Android phone, and click on the Authentication, and what i see is a generated one-time password code (to enter somewhere). I don't see the number 12 or any group of numbers for me to selector click on. The Google authenticator works well. So where are the numbers in the authenticator that I am suppose to click on ? The computer times out, click Next to send another, and it sends the same number 12.....pretty high security here....
