Windows 10: Can navigate and use the internet, but I'm unable to download anything from browsers and...

Hello, good night/morning.



Currently I'm facing an issue with my Wifi, basically, it's working, I can open any internet pages and youtube load fine, BUT Windows says that I do not have any internet access and the wifi icon at the task bar has this yellow triangle icon with an "!". And now I can't connect with Windows Update system nor I can update Panda Antivirus because it says I don't have any internet.

Also, as as the title says, I'm unable to donwload anything from any browsers.


Chrome: my download starts, but never finishes, always getting stuck at 100%.

Firefox: I can't even start the download because the browser crashes, and Microsoft Edges is the worst case, because it's not even opening any web pages, it doesn't say anything about having or not connection, it just acts like it didn't have any input.


I tried a couple of hotfixes, but nothing really worked, I'd really appreciate any help here.

how to set Internet Explorer as default browser in Windows 10

As you want to set Internet Explorer as the default browser, I suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Navigate to Start>Settings>System.
• In the left pane, click on Default Apps.
• In the right pane, under Web browser, click on Microsoft edge and select
  Internet Explorer.
• Restart the system and check.

Unable to connect to internet on browsers except for Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 computer.

Thank you for replying with the error messages received on trying to connect to internet on different browsers.



Please reply, did you try performing System restore as suggested in the above post?



If haven’t tried performing System restore, flush your PC’s
DNS cache by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved. Performing the below steps will clear DNS cache from the computer and renew the IP configuration set on the computer.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Command prompt (Admin) from the context menu.
• Type the following command and press Enter after each entries:
  • ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns
  • ipconfig /release
  • ipconfig /renew
• Close the windows and check if the changes are effective.

If the above steps does not resolve the issue, perform
System restore by following steps mentioned in the above post and check if it helps.

Error: "Internet Explorer is not responding" and "Website not responding" while accessing the browser on Windows 10

As Windows 10 as Microsoft Edge in-built browser, I suggest you to try that browser and check if this issue persists.

For the issues with Internet Explorer try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter.

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onInternet Explorer Performance and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to turn off and on Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R, type Control Panel
  and hit Enter.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
• Uncheck Internet Explorer, click on Ok.
• Restart the computer and repeat the same as above to place a check mark on Internet Explorer.
