    Can no longer boot from anything else than windows - anyone else experience this?


    I've been running Ubuntu as dual-boot for about a year now alongside Windows 10, and everything has been working wonderfully until today.

    Today, the machine booted directly into Windows 10 without giving me the option to boot Ubuntu instead. In my UEFI settings, the Ubuntu boot option was no longer there either. I expected that grub was the issue, and looked to reinstall grub with a Ubuntu USB just like I installed Ubuntu in the first place, but not even the USB shows up in the UEFI boot configuration window.

    Secure Boot is disabled.
    Alternate boot sequence is enabled.
    Boot from USB is enabled.

    Machine is a Surface Book 2.

    Has anyone else experienced this and know of a way to fix it?
