Can no longer connect to WiFi

Why is it I am no longer able to connect to WiFi on my Windows 10 PC. Now in Settings, the only options are STATUS, ETHERNET, DIAL-UP, VPN and PROXY. There is no longer an option to connect to WiFI. Hence I am only able to connect to Ethernet.I am using a pocket 4G WiFi router and it works fine on ethernet and even connect to Wifi on my cellphone. Clearly the problem is with Windows and not with my router. I have tried running the DISM Cleanup Image Restore Health command as well as the SFC Scannow commands on my PC but to no avail. I have even reinstalled Windows 10 but in vain. C

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?

OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

  3. Can't uncheck WIFI "Connect Automatically"

    Hi,

Have you tried removing the network from the list? Your network credentials may still be saved on your Wifi settings.

We suggest you to remove the preferred network and reconnect it. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows icon.
    • Click Settings.
    • Select Network and Internet.
    • On the left pane, click Wifi.
    • Click on link Manage Wifi Settings.
    • There is prompt, click on Manage known networks
    • Select the network you want to forget.
Once you remove the network it will no longer appear on the list. You may need to reconnect it, if you want.

Let us know how it goes.

Can no longer connect to WiFi

Bridge Connections (WiFi) no longer work with an unexpected error.

    Hi,

There are a lot of possible factors for the bridge connections to have an unexpected errors. To isolate this matter,
I have a couple of questions for you:

    • Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?

    • Have you tried updating your drivers manually?

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

I recommend that you perform the troubleshooting steps indicated in the article entitled
    "Fix network connection
    issues in Windows 10"
    .

If the issue persists, reset your TCP/IP and see if there are any changes. It is possible that your TCP/IP were
corrupted. To do this, follow these steps:

    Reset TCP/IP

To do this, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt
      as
      Administrator.

    • Run
      this command:

      • netsh
        int
        ip reset
        and hit
        Enter.

    Exit
    Command Prompt
    and
    monitor your network connection.

    Disable auto turn-off of
    WiFi device.

    • Go to
      Network and Sharing Center.

    • Click
      Change adapter settings
      on the right pane.

    • Right-click your
      connection name
      (WiFi name)
      and choose
      Properties.

    • Click on
      Configure...
      button.

    • Go to
      Power Management
      tab.

    • Uncheck/disable
      the check box radio for
"Allow this device to turn off this device to save power".

    • Restart the PC
      (Important).

    Reconfigure TCP/IP

To do this, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt
      as
      Administrator.

    • Run
      these following commands:

      • netsh
        int
        tcp set heuristics
        disabled

      • netsh
        int
        tcp
        set global
        autotuninglevel=disabled

      • netsh
        int
        tcp set global
        rss=enabled

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
