Windows 10: Can no longer jump to the next photo with the photos app

Hello!


I work a lot with photos. If you have a folder full of photos, you normally can open a photo with the photos app and then go through all the photos contained in that folder by swiping or clicking or using the arrow keys.

Yesterday I got the 2004 update, and since then I am no longer able to do that. If I have a folder and open a photo, most of the times I can't switch to the next photo, I have to close the app and then choose the next photo in the explorer. Sometimes it work's like five times, it depends.


And in order to save precious time: Yes, all Windows updates are installed. Yes, all apps in the store are updated. Yes, I rebooted the system several times.

SlideShow in Photos app does not display more that 30 photos

I suggest you to remove and re-add the photos folder from Photo app. Follow the steps below:

• 
  Open Photos App.
  
• 
  Click on Settings.
  
• 
  Under Sources click on the X mark next to the folder location listed to delete the location from Photos App.
  
• 
  Once done try to re-add the folder by clicking on Add a Folder.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check if issue persists.

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.
