Windows 10: Can no longer switch between speakers and headphones

Hi!So I have a windows 10 PC and have a pretty basic speaker set up creative pebble 2.0 and headphones plugged in razer kraken x.My speakers are connected to the usb and output jack in the back of my PC, my headphones are connected to the output jack on the front of my PC so both plugged in.Everything was working fine these past few months where I was able to just switch between my speakers and PC by just changing my sound settings on my PC.But after a recent windows update, for some reason, when my headphones are plugged in, my PC no longer plays audio from my speakers.It recognizes my

Speakers and headphones work at the same time

• Have you tried connecting your headphones directly to your desktop?
• Does your speaker work normally when connected to your desktop?

You may try the following steps to help resolve your concern:

• Unplug or Disconnect your speaker from the desktop.
• Connect your headphone directly to the desktop.

If the headphone works properly when directly connected to the desktop, we suggest that you contact your speaker manufacturer for assistance.

Sound switch from laptop speakers to headphones.

click on the speaker icon (bottom right by the clock)

then click on the up arrow, to display the list of playback devices.

if you headphones are in the list click on them to switch sound output.

 

Internal speakers and headphones no longer working after Windows 10 update

I'm running Windows 10 Home, version 1709, build 16299.125. I tried the steps suggested on that page, but the sound card no longer appears in the device manager at all that I can see. And on the sound control panel, the internal speakers and headphone jack
no longer appear either. There is no default device there that I can modify; it only shows Bluetooth options.
