Can not delete fake wireless networks

These are NOT local networks. Been here 10 years and have never had one pop up before. Now I have 13 in one night. They don't show up in control panel (even the ones I want don't show). If I uncheck start automatically the check box comes back. When I have wireless networks on they will randomly disappear and a new one will take it's place. I know these are fake networks but I can't find them to get rid of them. I even completely re-installed windows and they're still there. I've tried several fixes on line. Using the command line, control panel etc. But nothing has worked. I've called the help line for my computer manufacturer and they haven't been able to figure out the problem even when taking control of my machine. There has to be some way to find and kill these things but I sure can't figure out how.

    :)

    wireless network

    Vista or XP?

You need to go in and delete the network. Then it will pick it up again, and ask you to enter the key again.

On Vista, you do this by going into Networking and Sharing Center. The click on Customize, then click on Merge or delete network locations. Find the SSID of the router in the list, and delete it.

On XP, I believe you have to go to Network Connections, then right click on your Wireless Adaptor. Go to Status, and there should be a button to Manage Wireless Networks, that should take you to where you need to be to delete the network.

Change Wireless Network Connection Priority Order in Windows 10

Hello Denis, Can not delete fake wireless networks :)

The command in step 2 of Option Two should show your wireless networks listed in priority order. Top of the list is higher.
