Windows 10: Can not find script file "C:\Users\Public\Libraries\Checks.vbs".

Anyone can help to get rid of this error "Windows Script Host"??

Can not find script file "C:\Users\Public\Libraries\Checks.vbs".

The solution is to basically recreate that file and put an exit script into it

Open Windows File Exporer and navigate to:

C:\Users\Public\Libraries\Checks

If the file Checks.vbs exists:

Right click it and open it in Notepad

Replace all the contents of that file with:

Wscript.Quit

If the file does not exist in that folder, right click and choose New - Text Doument

Put this text in that file: Wscript.Quit

Then click File - Save As

At the bottom of the save as dialog, set save as type to *.*

Save the files as Checks.vbs

Note you must enter the vbs file extension yourself

Restart your PC

 

Windows Script Host error popping up, Can not find script file "C:/Users/Public/Libraries/Checks.vbs".

Hello so yesterday i randomly turned on avast antivirus to do a clean check on my pc. 10 Minutes later i got a windows script host error saying, Can not find script file "C:/Users/Public/Libraries/Checks.vbs". Since then it has been popping up every 2 minutes
and did research on how to fix it but nothing is working. I tried to turn of avast, go into regedit and clean stuff in there that might have to do with it, etc. Please help me as soon as possible on how to disable it or how to fix it!

Running a VB Script File Using Windows 10 Task Scheduler

Here is my VB Script code:

In Task Scheduler Library, created a folder called "GOCC"

I than hit "Create Basic Task", name it and give brief description/

From the "Trigger" menu, I give a start date and time.

From the "Action" menu, I hit "Start", and browse for my vbs file. I click on it and the full path command is listed. The task is listed in the Scheduler.

Then I double click on the task, I keep the user account as "John J", click on " Run whether or not user is logged on or not, click

"Run with highest privileges", click on "Hidden" and then configure the task for "Windows 10." I hit "OK" which the computer prompts me for my password. I enter it and hit "ok."

The problem is that the vbs never runs at the designated date and time. I do not understand why it does not work.
