Windows 10: Can not log in to laptop with Microsoft account/password to be precise

  1. Can not log in to laptop with Microsoft account/password to be precise


    After uninstalling Avast antivirus with Iobit uninstaller. The laptop doesn't let me to login with goodix fingerscan again.


    It only shows a box password for Microsoft account, NO Other options!


    I have tried my old, current, even a new password by resetting it on Microsoft website. I turned off capblock and checked every possibly misspell for the password


    It is normal to login on website but the computer with the same password


    The problem is still persist " the password is incorrect, try again" I have followed every guide I found on website but none of it work.


    Anyone knows how to fix this?


    I need your help!

    This issue might occur if there is change in system settings and use account settings.

    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "now requires a password to access it's my Microsoft password", are you logged in as Local Account in the Desktop computer prior automatic changing to Microsoft Account?
    • When you say that "i have work laptop, HP, NOT on home network", are you logged in as Microsoft Account in the Work laptop?

    If you were logged in as Local Account and then it has been changed into Microsoft Account. In that case, I suggest you to try to sign in back to Local Account through steps below and check if it helps.


    • Select the Start
      Can not log in to laptop with Microsoft account/password to be precise [​IMG]
      button, then select
      Settings > Accounts > Your account.

    • Select Sign in with a Local Account Instead.

    • Follow the prompts to switch to a Local Account. Verify the Local Account's user name and password.

    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "windows using the same password", are you getting any error message when you enter the password?
    • Have you checked the issue while entering with a different keyboard?
    • Were you connected the computer to a internet connection while logging into the computer with Microsoft account?
    • When you say that "resetting the password.", have you tried to reset the password from Microsoft website?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to enter the password through different keyboard and through On-screen keyboard. Check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to try entering the password with a different password.

    Step 2: I recommend you to check the internet connect of the computer and make sure that internet is available for the computer while enter the Microsoft password.

    Step 3: I suggest you to follow the steps provided in the Microsoft account and check if it helps.
