Windows 10: can not open word and the error message says i should try in safe mode

tried openeing word in the list of programmes just after MS Office upgraded and it does not open the programme


i tried using to crafty doc opener from microsoft store and the file i was would not open as the error message said file not supported even though it is designed for MS word.


tried repair of office package and was assured all is well after they scanned it


i just need to access my docs

Word needs to start in SAFE MODE

I am using Microsoft Word 2002 with Windows 10. Word worked without problem until yesterday when error message
Word failed to work correctly last time. Starting Word in Safe Mode will help you correct or isolate startup problem in order to successfully start the program.

I did start Word in SAFE mode, but same error message appears every time I start Word.

Any suggestions as to what I should do to correct any problem(s)? Best, Aaron

 

microsoft word 2003

I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.

 

Password not accepted in Safe mode

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.
