Can not remove "Chinese Traditional, Taiwan Microsoft Quick"

A while ago my profile suddenly had chinese appear as the input language - I never changed any language settings, it just started, and I can't get rid of it. It used to change occasionally but now it changes every day and I can't remove it. When I go to language settings there is no other language there but english and so I can't select it to delete it, as is advised online. This is super annoying and a quick look online shows it's happening to loads of people. If the fix isn't one of your many forced updates then what is it? How can I change my input language back to english? Please

    :)

  2. How to remove "Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) Microsoft Quick"

Hi Liana, my name is Neil and I'm a Windows 11 user like you.

I'll be happy to try and help you with your question.

I've check the link you posted and didn't see this described, so I thought it was worth a try to see if you have this option.

Please see if you can locate this keyboard option under the following settings:

Click On Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region

Where yours says "English (Australia)" click the three dots at the end and then click on "Language options"

Under "Keyboards" do you see the "Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)" keyboard listed here? If so, click the three dots at the end and then click on "Remove".

If this option is not there, then please try the following:

Click on the search box on your taskbar and type: control panel

Click on Control Panel in the results.

In Control Panel, click on "Region"

    Click on "Administrative" tab.

    Click the "Copy Settings" button.

At the bottom of the next box, there are two check boxes. First, make sure all the details in the box above for "Current User" are correct. Then place a tick into both the check boxes at the bottom where it says 'Copy your current settings to'...."Welcome screen and system accounts" and "New user accounts".

After making sure both boxes are checked, click on "OK".

You can now close the other windows.

Reboot your computer and then check to see if the "Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) Microsoft Quick" keyboard option has gone.

Please let me know how you get on.

    Kindest regards,

    Neil

How to remove "Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) Microsoft Quick"

    Hi,

I am having an issue where I can't remove Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) Microsoft Quick language pack. It appeared right after I reinstalled Windows 11 on my laptop. The model is Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503. Asus is a Taiwanian company and that's the only connection I see as to where this language pack came from.

I need to get rid of this language pack because I am not using it but am switching between different keyboard layouts pretty often and this thing is on the way.

Please do not suggest solutions such as 'add and delete this pack' or any other basic stuff (like suggested in this thread) because I've tried that and there was no success. I even tried going into the registry and there was no solution either. This has something to do with something called "Microsoft Quick" (not Microsoft quick assist) so I don't think there is a straightforward solution to this. Please see the below screenshots to better understand my issue.

    Thanks

Can not remove "Chinese Traditional, Taiwan Microsoft Quick"

Unable to remove Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong) Language

There is no error message. It looks as though it has been removed as it is not shown in the language list. But when I try to add Chinese (traditional, Taiwan), all three choices are greyed out. After I restart the computer, Chinese (traditional, Hong Kong
SAR) is back in the language list.
