Windows 10: Can not resolve 0xc004003

Unique Situation with Error 0xC004003

Hello,

I have been doing a lot of searching on the Microsoft Community on how to solve this error. I came across a lot of threads that had issues with error 0xC004003 after doing the free Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 or 8. However I have not come across another
case that matches mine. So I decided to create a new post.

So here is the situation. Over the years I have created my own tower and have been upgrading the software and hardware. A few months after Windows 10 came out I did a clean install of Windows 10 home edition on one of my hard drives (I had been using Windows
XP up until this Windows 10 upgrade). Once installed I purchased a product key from the Windows Store app. Upon doing this the product key was automatically placed in the authorization portion of the Windows 10 settings. I didn't have any problems until recently.

Yesterday I came across the error 0xC004003 after seeing the Windows 10 water mark at the bottom right hand corner of my screen. To solve this issue I contacted Microsoft online chat support. During the discussion I told them I recently upgraded my processor
and motherboard. Their solution to the error was to do a clean install. So I tried the clean install of Windows 10 Home. After the clean install I still have the authorization error 0xC004003.

So I decided to do some more research. I discovered that if I purchased a retail version of a Windows 10 Home product key I shouldn't have problems with authorization after making big changes to my hardware (in my case changing the motherboard). I'm currently
at a loss as to how to fix this authorization error. Now I'm trying to search for other solutions. Also I bought my current product key only 2 - 3 months ago. So I'm really hopping I can use the solution of buying another product as an absolute last resort.

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
2. Select or click Ease of Access.
3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
5. Check if issue is resolved.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
