    I just got a new cannon ix 6820 printer. Installed on a windows 10 computer with USB and shared it. My windows 11 laptop can not see it. Laptop is wireless over a router

    Remote Desktop, Windows 10, Need help with how to set up sharing

    You have to set remote desktop to allow remote connections. This is completely different from sharing settings and sharing files in Windows. You also need Windows 10 Professional on the computer you want to remote control. These settings are not in Windows 10 Home edition.

    Also, do not share your primary drive! This is a very bad idea.

    I need clarification for the given steps from the link above that is this need to be configured for both PC which are PC that

    • direct connect to the printer via USB and share the printer,
    • and PC that wants to connect to that printer ?
