    Can not update Windows!!! 0x80073701


    Windows 10 version 2004, laptop, tried installing Cumulative Update KB5003173, failed, then tried installing 20H2, failed again. Tried installing ISO of 21H1 downloaded from Microsoft website, which installs in full screen, when it restarted, it got stuck on Getting Windows Ready for hours, so I had to turn laptop off.Windows update fails with an error 0x80073701Tried the usual troubleshooting tips: •Restart •Reset Windows Update Components•DISM Restore health failed with Error 1392 even with a different source ISO •sfc scannow Windows Resource Protection

    When you do what?

    Repair install or Windows Update?

    If it's Windows Update, run the script that @Caledon Ken suggested in post #12

    Upgrade to Windows 10

    Also try setupdiag.exe as I suggested

    cant update windows 10 due to Error 0x80073701, cant seem to fix it my self. any suggestions beyond running the 2 administrator files recommended by Microsoft that did nothing?
