Windows 10: Can one windows licence be used for multiple computers or VMs not running at same time ?

As license can be transferred to different computer can I use one license for multiple VMs when they are not running at the same time? That I can transfer license to VM1 start it, later then stop VM1 transfer license to VM2 start it then later also stop VM2 transfer back to VM1 and start VM1 and so on, possibly switching within minutes and use in possibly 10+ VMs, but never running at the same time.

Does the same still apply if we are selling remote access to this VM to our customer?

We will host the VM on our server in a data centre, and will subsequently host a service for the customer on the windows 10 VM.

Is the customer licenced to access this VM as well as us as the host?

Hi,

I have a business requirement that needs me to create the following setup: -

Hyper-V (host) or other (like virtualbox) running on a Server with an OS such as Windows Server.

“X” number of virtual machines running windows 10 pro (lets say, 15 virtual machines on the same server running an application for use by a customer via means of an iPhone app - in effect, the windows 10 machine is an SQL workhorse for the users iPhone application).

Questions: -

Can we purchase windows 10 Pro licences for each and every VM from the official microsoft store and will this suffice?

Can we (as the admin) access this device via the hypervisor interface and/or RDP, and still comply with the licencing requirements?

Can our customer (the iPhone users) access the remote desktop using RDP (obviously using the same username and password as the admin).

If this isnt possible, what type of windows licence is needed?

Running your Browser in a VM?

• Install VMware Player or Virtualbox, VMware being faster in my experience
  
• Create a VM with sufficent RAM HD and all CPU cores
  
• Install Ubuntu/Linux Mint/Debian or some lightweight distro with Xcfe or LXDE
• Install VMware/Virtualbox tools
  
• Almost any distro comes with Firefox
• Install Ublock Origin/Noscript/Ghostery
• Disable cookies with a whitelist/use private browsing.

In my experience, running a browser through a VM can slow down scrolling smoothness, video playback and increase ping delay
