Windows 10: Can only get 2 of 3 displays to work in a 3-screen set-up

Running Windows 10, I am using my HP ProBook laptop with its HP dock, all monitors are connected to the doc. I am trying to set up 3 monitors extending the desktop to the 2nd and 3rd display. But the system will only recognize the 1st 2 of the 3. All cables are connected properly,

How to set up 2 additional monitors (3 screens in total)?

Most of the time this issue occurs due to setting configuration. As an initial troubleshooting, I suggest you to follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click System.
3. On the left-panel, choose Display.
4. All three screens should be displayed there, but you may see that one is disconnected.
5. Click on the screen that is disconnected or just a dark display and choose Extend desktop to this display option.

In addition, you might also check at your graphic card's control panel, such as Nvidia Control Panel, and configure the settings.

Desctop got 2/3 of the normal size

Hello,

This should be resolved by updating the screen resolution for your display. Kindly follow the steps below:

1. Open Start , select Settings > System > Display.
2. Under Scale and layout, check the setting under Change the size of text, apps, and other items. We suggest you use the percentage marked "(Recommended)."
3. If that doesn't solve your problem, under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked "(Recommended)."

Windows won't display 3 monitors

I would require some more information, to get a clear picture of the issue.

• What is the make & model of your computer?
• Did you try installing drivers in compatibility mode?

This would usually happen if the display adapter drivers on the computer are corrupt or needs to be updated.

As you have mentioned that you have the latest drivers, I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

I would suggest you to run hardware troubleshooter.

• Type “troubleshooting” in the search bar.
• Select “Troubleshooting”.
• Select “View all” on the top left corner.
• Click “Hardware & devices”.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2:

If issue persists follow below steps.

• Disconnect all the devices except Keyboard & mouse then reconnect & restart your computer.
• Check the Windows update.

Method 3:

Follow the steps below on how to install Display adapter in compatibility mode:

1. Download the adapter from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select
operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the adapter install and then check the functionality.
