Windows 10: Can only open one copy of the File Explorer

    Can only open one copy of the File Explorer


    I frequently need several folders open. Today, for some reason, I am unable to open more than one instance of file explorer. I tried all of the Microsoft suggestions, but they did not work.What did work?Holding shift key and clicking on the file explorer icon. Great fix - very simple.

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

    You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
    You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

    Can only open one copy of the File Explorer

    I can only have one copy of the File Explorer open at a time. When I have File Explorer opened, if I right click on the File Explorer icon on te Taskbar nothing happens.

    On my other computers, also running Windows 10, the jump list appears and I can open another copy of the File Explorer.

    Is there a setting somewhere to file this?
