Windows 10: Can only read not write to external drives connected to Linksys router

    Can only read not write to external drives connected to Linksys router


    I've been putting off trying to get this fixed since August but I can't write to either of the 2 external drives that I have connected to my Linksys router. It worked fine until then and I still am baffled why it changed to read-only.

    If I go to the security tab on the properties of either drive "Everyone" only has "special permissions" checked. Below that is "root (Unix User\root)" and "root (Unix Group\root)". Just like "Everyone", "special permissions" is the only option selected. I'm unable to change the permissions on the drives. I get the error, "Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied."

    I've tried downloading a CMD based application that is supposed to allow you to take ownership of a drive but it fails.

    If I disconnect one of the drives and hook it directly to the USB 3.0 port on my laptop it shows the option to change the permissions but then I have to remap the drive when connecting back through the router.

    Does anyone have any idea on what might be the cause and resolution of this?

    Linksys router will not stay connected to the internet

    Ok I have a Linksys WRT110 and a Linksys WRT54GS2 and both when I power it up with all connections hooked up, it runs the internet for about 10mins-2 hours then just completely disconnects and will not reconnect. I am using a Netgear WGR614 right now that has a whining capacitor. That router connects and stays connected. Also, the settings for the Linksys routers are not messed with as to the netgears. I am using a wireless ISP. They said its fine to use a router but why isnt my Linksys routers workin? Any Ideas?

    Regarding Linksys Router

    Hi

    I am installing Linksys Router microsoft windows 7.1,It Showing me Error error, that system file is missing

    When i update the mvct.dll file ,it shows the same error .

    I get help from a website

    I just want to know is it compatible linksys router with windows 7

    Steps i followed from this website help but not 100%

    I just installed a Linksys router and have had nothing but trouble so far. I have a PC laptop with Windows 7 and Linksys is unable to connect to Windows. I have been on with tech support for 3 days now and still do not have the problems solved. Please
