Windows 10: Can personalization settings be personal, like for just one user?

I have 4 users on my family PC. One would like a solid background color and a fast mouse. Another would like a slow mouse and a high contrast theme with a poster background they chose. I would like to have a close to classic experience that doesn't keep changing. When one user child changes their background to solid color, all other users lose their wallpaper and it is changed to a solid color. When the high-contrast theme is applied for the child who needs it, the theme is applied for everyone else who does not need it. They fight over the inexplicably shared mouse speed like an office ther

Settings/Personalization

Hi,

We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

• Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
• Click on Personalize.
• Select Colors.
• Click on High contrast settings.
• From the drop-down menu, select None.
• Click Apply.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

Corrupted Personalization Settings and themes

I suggest you check if the settings are disable in the registries of the PC.

• 
  Press
  Windows+R and type gpedit.msc in the run command.
  
• 
  In the window that appears, you can see the "Local Group Policy Editor" Window.
  
• 
  In this step I want to Prevent Changing Theme file. You click on User Configuration sub-category Administrative Template sub-category Control Panel sub-category Personalization and click on the "Prevent
  Changing Theme".

  In this step right-click on the "Prevent Changing Theme"and select the
  edit tab and click on the edit tab.
  
• 
  In this step, if you click on the
  Enabled Button then you cannot change the Theme. You click on the Disable Button then you can change the Theme. You click on The Enable Button for Disabling the changing Theme or Prevent Changing Theme.
  
• 
  In this step right-click on your Desktop and select the Personalize tab. In this tab you are unable to change the theme after disabling the changing of the theme or Prevent
  Changing Theme.

Changing personal settings to another in Windows 10

Let me help you changing the personal account.



I would suggest you to create a new user account, sign-in using your sister Microsoft account and delete your user account.

To create new user account follow the below steps.

• 
  Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz and press Enter.
  
• Click on Add button and Sign in using Microsoft account.

To remove your user account follow the below steps.

• 
  Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz and press Enter.
  
• Click on your user account and click on Remove button.
