Windows 10: Can reinstall nvidia driver use DDU fix this problem?

So, this can happened when I using pc to play roblox. When i play roblox, pc was froze,cursor can't move, and pc must force restart unplug cable or turn power supply off. And sometimes PC is BSOD and it says Video_TDR_Failure nvddlmkm.sys . But if I turn on pc or play another game except roblox is normal. So can I reinstall nvidia driver use DDU to fix this problem in safe mode? I must ask question before do it

Nvidia Driver Problem at Windows 10

Hello all.

I have a Nvidia driver issue after Windows 10 update.

After Windows Update, i updated all drivers. Everything works great but Nvidia driver didn't worked.

It installs perfectly. in device manager it appears without problem, but when i want use the Gpu, it doesn't worked. After then i installed 3rd party anti virus software. It overrides the Windows Defender. Disabled it and re-installed the driver , it was worked.
But after reboot, it crashed again. Every time it happens.

Tried many solution. Uninstalling driver via DDU (in safe mode), reinstall with clean installation etc., every step gave me same result.

Now Nvidia folder is in defender's white list but still same. I reached Nvidia support too. They couldn't find a perfect solution. How can i solve this problem? How windows defender allow Nvidia files.

Nvidia driver problem with 940 MX on Windows 10 x64

Please make a restore point and then perform the following steps to completely remove the older driver and install the new driver. If it still does not work then we can troubleshoot.

Important: Pay attention to the warnings DDU gives you. If you end up hosing your system somehow, you're on your own -- They are not responsible for your goofs and will not help you fix it. Honestly this shouldn't ever be an issue but some of you folks run on pretty janky setups.

1. Download the latest version of Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU for short)
2. Download the latest driver package from your GPU manufacturer.

NVIDIA
(Change options as needed).

1. Extract DDU and Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe.
2. Follow the prompts to reboot into Safe Mode.
3. Once in Safe Mode, DDU will launch itself automatically and you can begin the driver removal process
4. Select the appropriate driver type
5. click the "Clean and restart" button
6. After DDU is finished and you're back in normal Windows, things probably look pretty crappy! Install the GPU driver package you downloaded earlier.
7. Once the driver installation process is complete, reboot one last time.

Now you can test to see if the issue you were experiencing has been resolved.
