Can see and access on Homegroup but not network.

Everything was fine until this week. suddenly I can't see any computers on my network except the one running win 7. I can access and see every one through the homegroup but all the computers running Win 10 (Pro) are invisible on network, but visible and accessible if I select homegroup .

    :)

Homegroup Win 10 can see but not access folders

We have two computers running Win 10, same versions. Our homegroup was fine until the computer that set up the group went off the network for a few days and Win updated. Coincidence? Now we can each see but not access folders on the other's computer. Internet
connection fine; only network/homegroup has the problem.Have tried leaving and setting up new groups, on either computer. No dice. Diagnosing my adapter says "Some network protocols are missing on this computer." Tried updating drivers, deleting adapter and
reinstalling, etc. No dice. Turned off firewall/antivirus. Nope. Troubleshooter either finds no problems or returns the "Network protocols ..." error. One protocol unchecked in Properties of that connection, Microsoft Network adapter multiplexor protocol.
Cannot install it without file, and cannot find file online or on computer. Frustratingly have spent days on this. Any ideas?
