Windows 10: can someone help me disconnect my work profile from my windows 11 account

I am logged into my computer with my Microsoft account. it is for my personal account. however, when i look at the details of my user account in the PC settings app it shows both my personal account and my work account details in the "email and accounts" section in the "accounts" tab.i only have one account on my windows 11 computer and yet, it shows details for both my personal and work accounts. there are no options for removing or disconnecting the accounts. and the options for "Microsoft apps can ask me to sign in". i want to remove my work profile from my user account. at times it is gett

New Local Account Not Working In Windows 10

Hi Scott,

This issue could have happened due to corrupted profile on your Windows 10. We suggest that you delete the non-working profile on your PC and try to register it again.

To delete your non-working account, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on the *Start menu**. It's the Windows logo in the bottom left of your screen.

  Click on Family & other users.
  
• 
  Click on the account you wish to remove.

User Profile Disconnected

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your user profile.

From what you have described, the user profile may be corrupted and you can try to repair the corrupted user profile in Windows.

Here are the steps to follow.

• 1. you can first log in to the system using another administrator account
  
• 2. Then create a new local administrator user account
  
• 3. Change the newly created account to an administrator account
  
• 4. Copy the corrupted user profile to the new user profile

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
