Windows 10: Can someone help me how to fix my Wi-Fi ?

Hi, this is my first post here.

I have an Asus laptop X541U, for more than a month now I've been having interrupted connection to my Wi-Fi (I don't think it's a router problem since other devices don't have this problem).

So every now and then my wifi disconnects and when I try to reconnect it says 'can't connect to this network'. Now sometimes when I shutdown the wifi or put it into airplane mode I can reconnect but sometimes it just shows no wireless connection that I can connect to!!

So I would have to disable and reenable the wireless LAN adapter from the device manager again sometimes it works sometimes I would need to restart the pc. What makes this even worse is that it happens so frequently like every hour or every few minutes !!! I've even tried reinstalling windows but the same issue persists.

Could anyone help me solve this problem ?

P.S: All my drivers are up to date.

I have a Windows 10 Pro 20H2, OS build: 19042.630

I can provide any additional info if that could help in the diagnosis.

Wi-Fi connected but internet stops working

Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password


I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

1. Launch Control Panel.
2. Click "Network and Internet."
3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
5. Click "Wireless Properties."
6. Click the Security tab.
7. Check "Show characters."
8. Enter the password in "Network security key."

Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?

I suggest you to run the in-built troubleshooter for Internet connections.

• Open 'Settings' and click on 'Update and security'.
  
• On the left pane, select 'Troubleshoot' and run the troubleshooter for 'Internet Connections'.
