Windows 10: can someone help me with my computer that is messing up?

pc is messed upso my computer has been running into some problems and i don’t know what to do. 1. cannot open file explorer, the window goes white and it says not responding 2. when i open an app, the window also turns white3. my screen flashes black for about 10 seconds and then just goes back 4. restarting the pc takes forever also if anyone can help that would be awesome! i’ve been trying to play a game for the past day and it still hasn’t worked so, if anyone has a fix or a solution please comment under this post! thank you in advance

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

• Is this issue specific to any game?

I would suggest you to restore the system to the previous point where PC was working normally and check if this helps in resolving the issue. To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

• 
  Press Windows + I key and click on Update and security.
  
• 
  Click on Recovery, and click on
  Restart under Advance startup.
  
• 
  In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click
  'Troubleshoot'.
  
• 
  Click, Advanced Options and then click on
  System Restore.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen suggestion to restore your PC to earlier point.
