Windows 10: Can someone provide how to convert CR2 file to JPG

Trying to convert on windows 10 home system with 64 bit operating system. Can not find the necessary download and instructions beyond windows 8?

.CR2 raw files not opening

We may open .cr2 files using the Photo file. We need additional information to help resolve your concern. Are you getting any error message when opening a .cr2 file format? If yes, we recommend setting a default program to open the file. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings.
  
• Click Apps.
  
• Click Default apps.
  
• Click Choose default apps by file type.
  
• Locate .cr2, then select Photos as the default app.

Still can't view CR2. files from Canon 5D mark IV

I experience the same issue. Still can't see .CR2 Thumbnails from my Canon EOS 5D MkIV in windows 10 file explorer. I installed the Adobe DNG/RAW converter, but did not resolve the .CR2 thumbnail issue unless a convert files to DNG (which requires twice
a much space and adds steps in the workflow).

It is getting very irritating!
