Windows 10: Can someone tell me how to correct the “Scanners not appearing” message

After a new PC install W11 Under Settings, Printers and Scanners at the bottom under Scanner Settings, More information I get a ? “Scanners not appearing” error. I feel confident the printer/scanner works OK as it does on my W10 pc. On the W11 system when I press Scan on the printer/scanner I do NOT get the Paperport window that I do on my W10 pc, and I get a "Reading from Device" message. I do get a low-resolution image, indicating to me that it's not a hardware problem. The new W11 system was actually an upgrade from W10, and it had the same issue. on my older W10 system when I scan on my

Why doesn't my Canon scanner appear in my Start menu?

My scanner is attached and working: it appears in Settings --> Printers and Scanners. It does not appear in my Start list, so I don't know how to access it. I have updated the drivers. Any suggestions?

Worked perfectly,

• Installed 2400 series driver (when it asked what model I had I also picked, 1270 and 4180 since these had the Slide scanner interface I thought it might add a few extra drivers)
• Restarted PC
• Needed to use Device manager 'Updated driver'
• Assign 2400 driver. (See attached image)
• Be sure scanner is powered on so it appears in device manager.

Tested the Slide scanner attachment, I used PRO mode and it was discovered.
I had to use the plastic blackout slide holder (for masking the slide) to find the slide though.

3. Check if scanner is getting detected in it or not.
