Windows 10: Can`t update windows 10

Hi everyone, i am writing because i have a pc with windows 10 1703 installed and i am not being able to update it to the latest version. I have tried everything i could imagine with no success. First in windows update it says "An update is being prepared for your device, but it's not quite ready yet. We'll keep trying or you can try again now.", so no luck there. Then i tried downloading and using windows 10 update assistant and when it finishes updating and restarts, once it boots up again it does not even give me a message of a failed update, it simply finishes, restarts and im back to my de

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
