Windows 10: Can the Dark settings default font Darkish grey be changed in the Registry?

I've spent about three hours with "Google Bard" on this; it has little or no idea and I currently - on this site in the Question dialog box have a black font on a very dark grey background which reverts to what looks like the default Dark mode medium grey when I tab out; I didn't keep track of the changes in registry and there were about twenty so a re-set of Win. 10 is looming but I'd like to experiment prior to doing so in the hope that in 2024 there is some way to obtain an intelligent colour scheme i.e. Black backgrounds with a light - medium coloured font; although looking at this now I c

How to change font size in Windows 10 and set them to default?

As your concern is about changing the font size, do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Are you referring to font size in Windows operating system/ with in the Windows Live Mail?
• Have you installed any fonts on your device?

If you are referring to font size in Windows operating system, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Steps to restore the default font settings.

• Press Windows key, type font and select
  Change Font Settings.
• Click on Restore default font settings.
• Sign-out from the current user account and re-sign in and check if it helps.

Step 2: Change the font settings

• Press Windows key, type font and select View fonts installed.
• Click on Change font size in the left pane.
• Under Change the text only, click on the drop down arrow choose the appropriate option and change the size you wish to and click on
  Apply.

If you are referring to Windows Live Mail, I would like to inform that it is by design you cannot change the font settings to default on Windows Live Mail. Instead, you can choose appropriate font size and fonts while typing the mail.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you are able to restore to default font settings in windows 10.

• 
  Type fonts in the search and press enter
  
• 
  Click on Font settings
  
• 
  Click on Restore default font settings.

Dark blue default font set - text comes out light blue

This problem is reproducable even after restart.

I set the Default Font in Settings to Dark Blue, Darker 50% and save the setting.

When I then compose an email or reply, the font is simply Blue (i.e. a much lighter blue).

Setting the Default Font to any other colour sticks. Resetting the default font to black also sticks.

This only happens when setting the Default Font to Dark Blue, Darker 50%.
