Windows 10: can the weight of a computer change if a piece has been replaced ? sounds stupid but I...

This is probably the most stupid thing I could ever ask but I can't help it. I bought ASUS B9440UA-GV0177R for 1500 euros based on the fact that it had 16 go, i7 AND 1.05 kg. Like literally there were offers for much cheaper for 16 go and i7 but I care way too much for the weight and I'd refuse to go for a 1.2 kg for ex. Not even completing her first year of existence, the motherboard gave her last breath and I had to send it for repair under warranty. It came back. I SWEAR it was really light before. It's just... heavy now.


I don't think it makes any sense but is it possible in any kind of world for a piece to get replaced with a.....heavier piece in the same computer? especially in a super thin one where you don't have many 'dimension' options? It's been one hour and I finally gave up and wrote here... I can't figure out why it's so heavy. But it IS the same computer.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Sound Quality


One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.
