Windows 10: Can two different users see/respond to emails sent to same alias email address?

Hello. My organization has a large number of customer service queries that both my business partner and me need to take turns responding to based on which of us is in town and which of us is on deadline with one of our projects. We don't want to set up a separate user account for that address *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, because we both get a large volume of email to our own accounts as well every day, and we'd be logging in and out and switching between email accounts constantly. This would be a hassle. Someone mentioned to me they thought there was a way to do this using a Distribution list? I tried

Microsoft account email alias problem

i changed the alias and removed the default one, so now i have only the new one in the list...the default one that was their is gone

i did not know that removing the default alias would mean i would lose my original email address, because now my original email adress isnt working.

and on top of that, my new alias or should i say new email address isint recieving emails... over 20 years of usuing the same email address and its gone because i thought a alias was just a display name.

 

Additional email addresses

You are talking about two totally different things, contacts versus predictive text input in mail client.

In most email clients, like Windows Mail, when you start typing an address in TO, CC or BCC fields, the client does not pick the addresses suggested from your contacts. Instead, it suggests addresses you have sent email earlier, or addresses of those who have sent email to you.

If I now sent you an email, and you replied to it, next time when you write an email to someone whose address starts with K, my email address would be one of the suggested to you although I am not in your contacts.

 

Issues with logging in using alias email address

I had two email addresses as primary and secondary alias for my account. My old laptop(Win 8.1, my main PC is currently using Win 10), which I wanted to log on used the secondary alias email (primary back when it was my only PC), but the password didn't work. I decided to remove the secondary alias email from my account, to make a separate account in an attempt to be able to log onto my old laptop, however after what I thought was creation of a new account. turns out the two account somehow got merged into one (there was no intention of doing so and i saw no such option to choose), now I'm logging in into the same account using two different emails and passwords, with the currently main email address is being listed on my account as sign in email, but the email I intended to use for another account, instead is listed as primary alias (which I never wanted) and it doesn't seem like I'm able to change it in any way.

I would like to have the current main account use the listed sign in email (k.****** Email address is removed for privacy ***) as primary (and the only) alias, and have currently listed primary alias email (k****** Email address is removed for privacy ***) to be solely used for signing in and a primary alias for a secondary account. I don't want an option of signing into either of these account with the use of the other's email/password. I hope I described my issue and desired solution clearly enough.
