Installed fonts don't show on Word and PowerPoint

I downloaded some fonts from DaFont and 101fonts. After unzipping them, I installed them. It shows up on the font list in Word and PowerPoint. It also shows up in the Windows/Fonts folder. But when I apply it to the text (in Word and PowerPoint), it doesn't
show the font. Instead, it goes to some different typeface. Appreciate help.

Different resolution for Adobe/Microsoft PowerPoint on extended display vs. Word/Outlook/Chrome

I have a Lenovo Yoga 900 (Win10) connected (Type C to HDIM) to a 27" Acer monitor in extended display mode. When I move MS Word/Outlook/Excel or any browser (I use Chrome primarily) between screens, they automatically adapt resolution/size. However, with
Adobe PDFs and MS PowerPoint, the program defaults to incredibly large font (double/triple the size) when moving from the laptop to the monitor. I thought this was maybe just an Adobe issue, but I see PowerPoint does the same. Intuition says it is with the
programs and not hardware. Open to any suggestions. Cheers!
