    Can we stop Win 11 Home S hogging resources?


    So the wife's Win 7 laptop finally gave up the ghost and we replaced it with a new one running Win 11 Home S...It seems to have a nasty habit of monopolizing ALL resources doing 'background' updates every day. She wants to play solitaire, browse the web, whatever. No dice. Either nothing will launch, or things will launch, barely run, crash. If I can even get Task Manager to come up, it shows CPU 100%, with update or unrequested install stuff responsible for most of it. When the the background stuff finishes, the thing is fairly usable. Unless it decides to start doing another round.At
