Can Windows 10 see unused Mobo Slots?

My mother just bought a HP All-in-One PC from Costco. From the description, it has a 1TB HDD, which I hate. I'll probably take the hard drive from her existing All-in-One PC that's about ready to die (it's from 2010) and swap it, since I'd replaced the HDD from that computer with a SSD (had to use HDD to SSD converter).

The motherboard is labeled as "Bradford" with SSID: 86EE. I cannot find any information about this online. I just want to know if there's an M.2 or NVMe slot so I can upgrade it.

Is there a way for Windows 10 to tell so I don't have to open up the machine to look? I doubt the port will be in use, if it in fact even exists.

    :)

    DIMM slot 1, 3 or DIMM slot 2, 4?

    Page 1-23 in the manual;

    1. (2) Supports two (2) modules inserted into either the red slots or the black slots as onepair of Dual-channel memory con guration. We suggest that you install the modulesinto slots A2 and B2 for better compatibility.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Changing my MOBO and CPU a

I'm doing PC upgrades and changes entirely for my new mini-itx build.

I'm not sure about how the process would work, but what are the appropriate steps I need to undertake before making my changes?

    • My personal data and files are backed up to my Onedrive, and have nothing to lose in terms of data.
    • I have an additional copy of Windows 10 (but would prefer not to use it in-case I do another PC build).
    • My MOBO and CPU upgrades are polar opposites of my current hardware:
      • OLD HARDWARE
        • Intel i5 6500
        • AsRock Killer MOBO
      • New Hardware
        • AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
        • Asus Strix X-470
This is my first time doing a particular change so guiding steps would be greatly appreciated! Things like how to wipe my hard-drive and reinstall Windows, etc.
