    Can windows 11 run older programs such as those that worked on windows 98 or even windows 95?Some examples of such programs would be: Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo, The Freddie Fish series, Jumpstart Preschool, and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? My daughters enjoyed those games. We now have a little granddaughter who would benefit from some of them soon.

    Windows 98 problem

    why not try to use virtual PC and emulate windows 98 on a XP machine or did someone already suggest that?

    Windows 98 on Asus A9T notebook

    No No No.....i had tryed 3 different windows 98 and 1 windows milenium..and stil crashes, in windows xp works fine but i need win98 to run a older soft.
    Any adwice???

    Windows 98......

    Windows 98 SE is Windows 9x and Windows 2000 is Windows NT. Some software may not run on Windows 2000 where it did on Windows 98 SE (ISA especially).

    Windows 98 SE does have USB support but it isn't near as plug n' play as it is today. You have to make sure to install drivers (if nothing else, generic Microsoft drivers) for all USB devices. The Windows 98 SE disk comes in real handy for that.
