Windows 10: Can Windows character picker default tab be customised?

I often use windows character picker can be called using Win-. and always for inserting unicode characters missing on a keyboard. I never use it for emojis or gifs.When I open character picker I always have a favorites tab opened where emojis, gifs etc. goes on top though no one of them was ever used and the last used symbols list is on the very bottom on the screenshot below I have to scroll to reach it:You whether have to scroll or to switch to symbols tab, in all cases using a mouse. This makes typing noticeably slower. Is it possible to configure characters picker to put characters lis

Changing the default picker

To be completely clear about which one I mean, it's this.

It's awfully outdated, maybe older than me, and very painful to use. I've seen the color pickers for some linux distros and would like to change the default one. I've seen answers on this site that apparently you can do it, BUT NO ONE SAID WHAT THE
OPTIONS ARE.

I have googled it and came with nothing out of it, so is it really possible to change the default color picker? And if it is, what's one of the options?

 

Customising the Different Image Files on Windows 10

Hello Guys,

I am trying to customise the various image files (bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, png, svg, tif and tiff) on Windows 10 and noticed the following:

1. the bmp, gif, png, jpeg, jpg and svg files are all programmed to use the same icon. Changing the icon for one will result in the other image files using the same new icon; and
2. the tif and tiff files cannot be changed.

The way I do it is I use File Type Manager to locate the default icons key for each file in the registry and change the icon from there (this is because File Type Manager hangs whenever I try to change an icon using it).

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could go about:

1. customising the different image files to use different icons for each one; and
2. changing the tif and tiff image file icons?
