Windows 10: Can winRE defined partition be swapped to another existing larger winRE partition?

I see with other posts on KB5034441 install error, it has been suggested to delete existing winRE partition and recreate a larger winRE partition to see if the update then works. This system win 10 64 bit with GPT configured HDD already has a second unused larger winRE partition 1 1023MB as opposed to the defined partition 5 of 563MB. Can I swap the location definition from partition 5 to partition 1? Windows RE location: \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition5\Recov

New WinRE partition

I removed the drive letter successfully but the partition is still not protected. While in Disk Manager I can right-click on the WinRE partition and get a popup menu to change all kinds of things just like any other partition. Before creating the new partition right-clicking would bring up nothing except Help, which did nothing. I assume Windows wants it that way to prevent anything from being changed. I can change the permissions for WinRE but I don't know which permissions Windows needs for recovery.

Thanks Adrianne, it makes sense but also weird because the first time I noticed the Winre partition was when I was in Disk Management. It showed the system partition on the left, My OS in the middle and on the right my WinRe. Is this something new they just
added in a recent update?

Apologies for the confusion. I was actually referring the the reserved partition not recovery or WinRE partition. WinRE or Windows Recovery Environment is automatically installed on your system partition. This doesn't create a separate partition for just
WinRE.

You can check it yourself by going to Settings > Update & Security >
Recovery, then click on Restart now. Your computer should boot into Windows Recovery Environment. In most cases, you computer will automatically enter the Windows Recovery Environment if it fails to load the operating system.
